1.) After SilverGhost's post I have played GWX over the holidays, tested with Sh3Gen and I can say that there is no noticeable impact on framerates. The fps problems I had on my mid level system (Mobile Barton 2500 @ 2.2Ghz , 1GB PC3200, GeForce 6800 @ 370/800), disappeared when I disabled filtering in the D3D9 fix, but that is probably specific to my video card.

Sorry if I sound like I am defending my application, but I don't believe anymore that the additional information added by Sh3Gen is having an impact on SHIII,

2.) Sh3Gen 0.7.1 was released 6 months before GWX, and the default settings are optimized for cmpaign files I was using at the time, i.e. Improved U-Boat and such. Because of the generally richer campaign environment in GWX, Sh3Gen's default settings will give a much bigger amount of information than I intended. Sh3Gen 0.8 is in the works, and will come with different parameters, optimized for GWX, as soon as I have had enough testing time. Until that it will be necessary to lower the Intelligence setting to about 50-60% of the default value if you want the same amount of information as before GWX.

Hope that helps.
