Surfacing & Diving Sounds

I hear lots of noise when the boat is diving. Blowing ballast, hatches closing etc. I really like the sounds of the boat in action. However, when I order the boat to surface, I don't hear anything except the order repeated to "surface the boat". I hear very little else if anything.
My question is for the GW mod folks is this........
1. Is there supposed to be lots of surfacing noise? Blowing air, levers pulled, hatches being opened, in general racket that would be heard when the boat is in the process of surfacing.
2. Am I missing something in the down load?
3. If there are no sounds, will there be lots of surfacing noise in the new GWX mod?
4. Thanks for the GW mod! So far, I really like it and what I've read about the GWX, I'll like this game even more.
