Twas July 13, 44 when I got transfered from Midway to Majuro. There was Absolutely NO HOME BASE ICON on map as soon as the new patrol started (August 2, 44). Supply bases only. Hence nothing disappeared when ocean bound.

Well, that 00000019 folder is a Porpoise "default" start save, and does not have any Tambor data in it. Do you have a folder from just before you transferred from Pearl to Majuro? Pearl where you came from, Majuro where you went, and Saipan where the Tambor goes to on 3rd July, 1944 all look fine, so see if your Home Port isn't Saipan, over by Guam. But realistically, it should not have offered you Majuro, but rather Saipan, if you asked after the 3rd of July... The area is still contested, so you might find some Japanese shore guns still active in the area... but if Saipan is not your home port, find the Save folder just before you departed Pearl, and post that.
