beta .26, 1939, all torpedo malfunctions on, wind speed 6 meters.
so, Steam torpedoes with contact exploder work well. I have been trying the electrics with magnetic detonators set to run 1 meter under the keel. I was getting poor results, thought my aim was off, but last mission, I fired 4 torps at a 9,000 ton medium tanker, 1500 meters range, 90 degree angle, all 4 hit, 2 under the bow, 2 under the center portion, but the tanker sailed on undamaged which leads me to believe all 4 torps exploded prematurely. We all know that historically, magnetic detonators were unreliable, but do they work in game or is there a trick to using them more reliably?
