Default Increasing LOD Radius Around Player's Ship?

Hello.

Was just wondering if someone has found a way of increasing the Level of Detail Radius around the player's boat, specifically that of 3D ocean wave rendering at greater distances and, to a lesser extent, land-based objects (trees, port facilities, etc).

Ten years ago it was understandable to limit the amount of detail rendered in SH-IV, but with today's more powerful hardware the user can crank up both the GPU's and in-game graphical settings all the way to their maximums and still use only a fraction of the resources available. I can live with reduced ship 3D detail at great distances, but the way the ocean waves "flatten out" about a kilometer from the player's boat - even in the heaviest seas - is all too obvious. So is the fade-in and fade-out of land objects past a certain distance. This has been driving me nuts for years, lol.

So, yeah, just trying to figure out how to get those sort of details to render at longer distances.

Thanks!

Currently using:
RFB v2.0 (the "fixed" version)
RSRD v575.7 with v1.7 patch
AI Sen-Toku
Razzle-Dazzle Merchant Skins

All manually installed (no jsgme)
