USS Cavalla: Lucky Lady's Famous First Patrol
There was a program back in 1957-58 called the Silent Service.
It's very accurate--Capt. Kossler was ordered to report any enemy task force before attacking. They were to take no chances that they may be counter attacked and sunk--they must report. As history showed, their report was to have momentous consequences for the US war effort in the Pacific.
