What can give you CTDs is also your default media player.
Mine was by default Windows Media Player, and it couldn't read some of Stormfly's sounds files in the base mod  I downloaded VLC media player, and allowed for it to be the default one on my PC ---> no more random CTDs! It's worth a try, because Stormys DBSM is THE sound mod imo
