Airplane Sounds Audible

Maybe this has always been an issue, and I just never noticed it before (hard to imagine), but lately, I'm noticing that I can hear airplanes plain as day, flying above me after I crash dive. Even getting down to 70m while hanging out in the control room, the sound is the same as if we were surfaced and I was standing on the bridge.

It's killing my suspense.

Has anyone else had this issue? I did not find any threads that dealt with this in particular.
