Synchronizing saved games with server...ARGH

I unticked the option in the Ubi launcher, but the game always does this every time I enter the main menu. I have dozens of saved games so it takes around ten minutes every time. I tried deleting the saved games, but the game downloads them all over again every time it starts! Can't they just let me delete my saved games? What were they thinking...
