when to fire torp

the optimal time to shoot is 90 degrees and 800 meters from target,correct?(probably is rare to get that set-up)
where should the target be in relation to the sub when the torpedoes are fired?? when it is at the 90 degrees or before??.. say the target is at 100 degrees moving to the left..do you wait till it is at 90 ..i,m still trying to figure out where you can plot the estimated point of contact between the target and the torpedo...

is there some reference to the torpedo speed and distance??i know there are variables like the angle..anyone kinda understand what i,m trying to say??
