External view modification

I'm playing SH3 with 100% realism tick, well 97% cos external view is unchecked and there is my question. I only use external view to make a screenshoots of my u-boat struggling on the sea, coming back to port or sailing out etc. My problem is sometimes I press external view button "<" or ">" twice and instead on my u-boat, I can see other unit. This is very annoying scecialy during "hunt", cos the hunted unit is revealed to me. Can I change anything to stop toggle between units, and pressing "<" focus only on my ship, without toggling?
