Thanks Thomen! I'll have to look into those. I know for sure that the UK National Archives has files related to the Admiralty's inquiry into the sinking of SS Leopoldville - which is where my interest is with U-486.

It was a front line boat (albeit very late war) - and was sunk in April '45 near Bergen with all hands lost.

When I check the UK National Archives -- should I search for anything special when I look for the KTB? Or would U-486 KTB suffice?
