Very sad day: Capt. Zeb Alford passes away

It is with heavy heart that I say:

"Time passes, seasons change,
history is written but you shall sustain,
the breath of time shan't forget,
your dutiful service to god and to sea.

I never knew you in flesh tis true,
yet we share a bond of life and dream,
Your valor shall remain and your memory too,
now go dear soul, for glory and peace.

Godspeed dear friend of the water,
for like the ancient mariner of days past,
be ever relieved and take thy rest,
you have sited land and are free at last".
