Default Trouble shooting question

You know that big bundled wire that comes out of the power supply that you plug into the main board. The ad says 20+4 for this plug, right?

The last four is liked hinged so you can put t in or not put it in. The plug on the Asus P5B (lost the book that came with it) is 24 female and when I looked at it for trouble shooting the last little four thingy is not plugged in to it leaving those four bare.

I think it was that way to begin with, but I pulled so many wires trying to get it to boot, perhaps I accidently unplugged it. Won't post after tring to put in a E-7700 dual core (I think it's the three pin fan I had and replace the stock fan with it). Already rma'ed the cpu now the 3.6 won't post.

Antec 650 P/S
Antec 900 case
Asus P5B MB
Intel 3.6 ghz
Ati 2600XT pcie video
Seagate 320gb hdd
