What is the problem with the original skin? From what I understand, the type XXI boats were rather bland looking. Since they spend most of their time below the waves, they were painted a dark gray to black color. Training boats had a horizontal stripe painted on the conning tower.
The Type XVIII never got built, but if it had been would most likely been the same. |
