XXI Skins please :)
 

Forgive me if somesome has already posted this, but I looked everywhere and cannot find them. Does anyone know where I can get some nice skins for this U-boat? The one that comes with the game just does not really appeal to me.

What is the problem with the original skin? From what I understand, the type XXI boats were rather bland looking. Since they spend most of their time below the waves, they were painted a dark gray to black color. Training boats had a horizontal stripe painted on the conning tower.

The Type XVIII never got built, but if it had been would most likely been the same.

i just dont like that really really light grey color, reflects the sun to much, and just does not have that much detail.

Come on guys! I know someone out there is using a different skin besides the stock one for the XXI in U-boat missions. Share the love!

Xantro's mod here removes the Walther turbine but adds more batteries, two deck guns, a snorkel, and a black skin.

I'm sure there's got to be a way to mod the walther back in, if anyone can tell me that would be great...

And Snaptrap, before he left us, made a slightly higher res skin. It's still that white but it's a more attractive, less tacky cream color and much more detailed.
