Yep, that's the ticket. RFID tags in every grain of sand

I noticed in the article that they have forensic scientists checking other beaches to see if any of the sand is being used. I never knew that sand had DNA:hmm:

I was born in andraised aorund Blackpool and the beach had signs saying it was illegal to remove sand from the beach. I spent a very long time shaking it out of my shoes before I left the beach
