Default Do you use the manuveres?

Do you ever use the knuckle manuvers and such that are available from the chief enigeneer? If you do I would like to know how often, and when is a good time to use it, at such and such depth, and did it work for you?

Educate me

I never do. I can't picture any captain actually saying "Double Knuckle Right!" I just yell "Harte Stueurbord! Tiefer! Ause Kraft Voraus!" and start praying.

No, I don't use it. The only time I used the knuckle maneuver, I was depth-charged to death.

I have used them, but rarely.....they can be quite useful when you are busy trying to get your repair crew organised and need to throw a manuver at a charging DD

Never used them. I don't know if WW2 designs were powerful enough to generate significant cavitation (air bubble screen caused by propellers during a sudden acceleration). Beyond generating a cavitation, there's no advantage compared to just ordering full rudder. That's easily done ([ or ]).

Maybe thats a new bug: Whenever you use that maneuver you will be depth-charged to death.

Did you survive the depth-charging meduza?

BTW i don't use the maneuvers too.

Re the 90-degree knuckle, I've only used it when attacked by aircraft. It's way better to combine it with a dive to 80 meters or more. I never use the knuckle (or Haken -- "hook" auf Deutsch) against DDs -- I prefer precise control in those situations, alternating between flank & silent, and large & small course changes.

Mach's gut!

I never use it--I don't think it helps at all in the game.
