Default What do they mean?

I've noticed sometimes when i'm on the crew screen that there are little Golden Arrows next to some of the crew portraits.

What do these arrows mean? Anyone know?

Thanks

I believe they mean that the crew member has just gone up a level. When I look at the crew members with arrows they always have very little xp towards the next level.

The golden arrows are indicating that a crewmember has been promoted recently.

the game will automaticly promote from ranks 1-3, 4-6, 7-9. you will have to promote to get a guy at rank 3 to rank 4, and so forth. However if your running 1.5 it works a little differntly and you manually promote everybody except the chiefs

...Well...I dunno...yesterday I took a gander at the crew screen, in the middle of a patrol, and suddenly there were arrows eveywhere...less than 10 minutes later they were all gone...those arrows were definitely not there when I left port....because of this very thread, I checked. They showed up while on patrol and went away while on patrol. Probably if I had not been paying attention I wouldn't have noticed them at all.

If they mean any of the things as stated above I can't see the reason they came and went like that...

For me the jury is still out on this one....:hmm:

I have promoted chief petty officers to comissioned officer rank....maybe a mod is hindering your crew's promotions.

Nope!, They are currently singing the long version of Stairway to Heaven that is why the arrow points UP.
