Default Frightning! No sub skipper wants to hear this.

If you hear it as a Skipper it will be the last thing you hear. I could not figure how to get it on the forum so you can go to my below site and click the play button on the index page. It would be great if someone could mod it to SHIII.....

Let e know what you think of it.

Sounds like your dive planes got destroyed and/or your engines/batteries died and couldn't control your dive so you kept sinking. Ime when my sub hits 280-300 it makes a ton or really creepy noises before you hear the flooding or stuff breaking. Only thing that is kinda a let down (aside from the fact that you're gonna die) is that once the pressure hull finally collapses and implodes the sub you don't hear any of the noises that would accompany such an ugly event.

I believe that possibly the only solice of the sub crews that died from diving to deep or the pressure hull collapsing from pressure was that their deaths' were instantaneous. After the breech that collapsed the sub it flooded the entire sub with water so fast that it would've pulverised the body such that there was no drowning. The minutes preceding it would've been horrific, but if it was my time I'd rather have gone that way than been stranded in the north atlantic and froze to death in the water, or like the crew of the Indianapollis that suffered so long at sea only to watch they're fellow crew get eaten alive

I heard time ago another tremendous sound.

it was recorded with a sonorbuoy launched by an aircraft, the noise of the sub propellers and the blast of the Fido torpedo.

The next sounds are the air scaping of the ballast tanks and the gurgling water, finally the hull collape and loud explossions, probably the compartments crushed by the water pressure.

yes, the bad thing is the time before you die, when you can hear the noise of the hull being crushed...

Not quite true, in my war patrol nº 20 (March, 17 1942 at 14:22 game time) with a type: VIIC i was attacking for the second time a large convoy, South of Iceland when i was attack at the PD by a Destroyer. The deep charges attack cause a heavy flotting in: stern quarters, diesel engines, and stern torpedo room. The U-boat starts to sink very fast, at the same time i put my crew at work in the repairs with main objective to stop the heavy flotting, with repairs is carring on, minutes later we passe the "red line" of the 160 m (i think to myself its over now if i coundnt stop the heavy flotting very son i will crash by the deep) the U-boat countinued to go down, with out stoping the heavy flotting, minutes later we are at 260 m and countinued to go down, with the U-boat holding the pressure (at this time i was very very nervous about all this stress for my surprised i still alive and all so my crew) and minutes later we crush the ocean floor with a tremendous noise!
When i check the deep we are at 503 m deep! i coundnt belive in my eyes...503 metres and the U-boat still intact, my crew countinued to work and we are able to control the heavy flottting, but my happiness runs out when i checked the damege areas, the report was: two electric engines destroyed, compressor destroyed, and one diesel engine destroyed. It was the end...i see the clock and it was 14:30 even with this critical situation i order to blow balast untill no air left but with out any results at all the U-Boat dont move a inch...i was buried alive in the sea floor at 503 meters bellow the surface! The pressure was so hight wich it wasnt possible to go no where, twenty four hours later we are all death because the lack of air. Even in death you cant have a choice to have a fast or slowly death, the death is certanly but no one nows how gona die!
