If you try to look for planes, they wont come.
But when you're not looking for planes, they come.

And sometimes you get planes more than enought.

In the early career stages I often encounter planes along Scotland and north of it.

After 1943 you're gonna wanna go back in time and prevent the invention of the airplane. They are far more deadly than DD's are since they always return in large numbers and with bigger better planes.

Aircarft can seriously put a crimp on your career, even at the start of the war.

(p.s. if you spot a couple of Ansons - DIVE!)

get yourself a u-flack,
oh wait you are playing single missions.

if you play GWX2 if you see a plane it's ALARM time.
They are DEADLY!

They are more than capable and I'm in the early '42.

Encounters in planes are rare if you use over 256x TC.

Speaking about the Luftwaffe, apart the nice displays over Kiel or Wilhelmshaven I have see only a strike over Dover(I was raiding in this moment the port with a IIA)in the times of the Battle of England. The second time, without torpedos and in very bad weather(cannot utilise the cannon)I have pursuit a Greek merchant and reported dozens of times this contact. Finally a sunrise a FW200 Condor had come but was a terrible shooter(KG40 was not so bad in the reality),and had dropped the bombs hunders of meters of this easy target(I had hit this ship two days early with a torpedo in the bow and was sailing with heavy bow and starboard list with 3 knts).Only results of this Condor Attack, one gunner a put a couple of 7.9 or 20mm in some crates in the deck of the Greek steamer and the fire help me to pursuit this ship at night, waiting a improvement in the weather to utilise the artillery. Finally the weather went worse and after four days I have loss the contact in the middle of a storm and rain.I can imagine the joy of the crew of this Greek steamer making a brindis with Ouzo, happy with his evasion after four days of pursuit.
