Default Leaking Pipes...BUG???

I'm currently in my 1st mission in my 1st U.S. Campaign after installing the U-Boat Addon/1.5 and I'm running no major Mods.

Last night, I noticed after comming out of TC off the Japan Coast that I've now got the visible interior leaking pipes in the Control Room and Conning Tower. Funny thing is that I've got no hull damage whatsoever and no systems/subsystems damaged at all.

So I put my Damage Control Team to work and they've been at it for 2 days straight but my pipes are still a' leakin'.

How did I get these leaking pipes, dispite having no damage in the Damage Control screen, and will they leak no matter what all the way back to Pearl?

....or is this a known issue/BUG???

THANKS!

Did you take any damage during this patrol that was fixed? It's a common issue after repairs; the pipes keep leaking.

Nope, I've yet to receive a scratch.

That's why I'm so frustrated?

And without external views enabled I'll be watching those pipes leak for a month's worth of patrolling.

Didn't someone make a mod to address this?

Or maybe someone could edit the leak texture so it was invisible.

I get the leaking pipes too. I have 1.4 stock and every once in a while they leak for no reason. No damage, they were leaking when I was leaving port one time.

I'm playing 100% un-modded 1.4 and I've never had a pipe leak animation without being attacked and damaged. I've also not had this animation after effective repairs (no destroyed systems.) I've now played every boat model through the course of one campaign and I'm on my 8th patrol. I use TC with care and never more than 1000. When in enemy controled areas, never more than 500. The closer I get to known enemy locations, the less TC I use. I'me also very careful about plotting my waypoints on the map. I suspect this issue may be more mod-related though. Regardless of how "minor" a mod is percieved, I've seen several of these which had major bad effects in the game.
