Default installed today,not working

i just installed sh 3. When i press play,i get ubi logo..intromovie...and then i see the sh3 loading with red line.SO far so good...after red line loaded i go to next screen,all black and on the bottom a brown line loading from left to right...i wait...wait a little more.............nothing(5min)
i got version 1.4.01
i dl some patches that wont insall because they cant recognize missiondll

can someone help me out???

What are your computer specs ?

How long are you waiting ?....The first install is always the longest.

What mods/patches have you added or attempted to add ?

i tried patch 1.4b (both dvd and other)
i tried patch 1.3 (both dvd and other)
i dl some mods +modinstaller(jsgme) but havnt instaales any .
i want gwx,witch just need 1.4b and clean install
...i have pressed alt tab and am still waitng for load 15 min now

dont know comp specs ..its beige with keyboard and monitor
but i have allready played an illigal version of game on this comp a year ago.
it can handle the game...
alll old files where removed

If you have recently purchased a legitimate copy of SH3 it is possible it has already been patched to 1.4b....look at the bottom right corner of the loading screen.

Put your disc in and perform the 'uninstall' option your offered, then reload the game and look for the 1.4b text on the loading screen.

do you have the K-lite codecs installed , with the codectweaktool.exe (in the K-lite folder) disable the ffdshow codec ..
