Default Need some advices here...

Hi all!

Ok so here is the situation. Year is 1940.

I v attacked a convoy and sunk a large oil tanker.

unfortunatly i v to avoid the escorts therefore i was forced to escape.

At the present i'm dealing with a single Hunt II, who is hunting me as there is no tomorrow.

This hunt is lasting since 18hours and i can't shake him away.
After the first hours of deepcharges now his behaviour is not very aggresive.
He just pass me over with his active sonar.
What this means? Could b that he has finished is charges.
My tactis is, has descrived by others in others posts, to run at 1k as deep as i can but at the present i'm in keltische See and depth is just 80m and accelerate when he is above me. He seems taking some distances but he keeps turning on me.

What i should do???
Shall i try to sink him or keep hiding?

Thanks for urs advices.

Stay silent, don't accelerate! If he's not DCing anymore that it's even easier. When you go beyond ahead slow he gets contact. You can lay on the bottom also. You need to stay silent all the time but in 1943 with 3 DD above and flooding at 250m it's hard not to accelerate just to crawl some meters up... Simple choice - DC or pressure.

I guess he is out of DC
He may call in help though
Go to 2 kts and head towards deeper water keeping as quite as you can

Yup, he's probably out of DCs. Turn your rudder 5 degrees. Do NOT exceed 2 kts. Once you're in the heading you want, rudder midships and creep away.

Make sure you are in silent mode by pressing Z key and the silent mode icon is showing.

Thank you guys.

Ok, i will do as you said.

However i understood that as long as i'm on his back side he can't hear me since my noise is covered by is own propellers noise. At this point why not get some speed?

Do u suggest to go straight toward more deeply see or keep turning left and right.

I apologise for asking but i'm mostly a fly-sim boy, i'm trying to get in sub sim. I need you to b patient with me!

Thanks.

I will report back to you.

Forget the speed, too much chance he will hear you. If he doesn't hear you for some time, he'll go away.

All right!

Thank you again.

It has worked. Adfter 1h of deep & silence the DD went away. Unfortunatly i lost contact with the convoy but i think i made a big step ahead with this sim.

Bye.

You sure did!

Good to hear you got rid of the DD. Forget about the convoy! Be glad you're still alive to make it home.

Now that you have learned that trick, it will stand you in better stead for the future! Now go forth and plunder the sea!
