Default Pearl after Dec.7

Since the first(better:the few first months)mission a commander takes out of Pearl Harbor he should be confronted with some USN-wrecks in the port...

An idea for a mod?
(if one has the talent )

Why can't we try to set good examples for ecology in war games.

We do! We call them fish but they look suspiciously like torpedoes

This is a good idea for a mod, but we should wait until we get the Colorado Class BB with the 1.3 patch.

There is so much wrong with the way Pearl is modeled I can hardly fathom it. This should be the view from the Navy Yard on 8 Dec:

Why you start in the Navy Yard and not at the submarine base is beyond me...

On thing I noticed when sinking ships in shallow Japanese harbors, the wrecks had a tendency to migrate 1-1.5nm per day. I don't know whether anyone else has had this experience, but it might pose a problem for positioning wrecks at Pearl. Don't know why this would happen.

Speaking of which, someone needs to mod the terrain so that the sub pens are in the correct place ... if that is possible.

Yeah, lets sink more boats and watch them become underwater havens for sea life.

This is great news! I'll go back to starting my missions at Pearl if this can be worked out.

Can you imagine the motivational factor on this?

The sad thing is it is so bloody easy to find period images of PH, and SH4 and PF both grossly botched it.

Oddly, the biggest problems are that they (in both cases) did too much. It's like they thought it kept needing more stuff. "Hey, that looks too empty, throw some cranes in. Yeah, now THAT looks like a port!"

Then there is tha absurdity that is Midway.

Less is more.
