SH3, GWX1.03 and now SH3 Commander
This has acculmulated into THE BEST SUBSIM EVER.
I have been playing for about 2-3 weeks and I've finally gotten the hang of crew management and that happens to be one of the most rewarding aspects of the game. GWX has come into my life and has turned this sim into the most realistic subsim, and now that I'm going to start using SH3 Commander, I can only imagine where this will lead me.
Alas, SH4 is on my shelf. I havent given up hope!

I have begun to remember my crew names, so that when I go to move their watches around I know where this person goes and what slot he goes in. Truly amazing for a subsim. When I think I've seen it all, there is something new right infront of me. Watching the fireworks of a DD going up is something to bring about a "WOW!" I can only imagine what an ammo ship does.

EDIT: wait! Maddox1C Battle of Britian:Storm of War is right around the corner!

For me SHIV has the potential to be an absolute corker of a subsim, however the problems with it at the moment mean that I'm sticking with SHIII. Mainly because I discovered the wonder which in GWX about a month or two ago and haven't stopped playing! If something like GWX was created for SHIV...well...we can only dream!

One thing I loved about SHIV was the whole *whistle* "change the watch" thing, the crew management is better in some ways than SHIII because there's less micromanagement.

SH III +GWX I might consider the thought of SH IV wondering about crossing my mind, but it probably wouldn't run on my machine if I could be an RN sub then I would get a new computer for it even if it means I would starve

I'm kind of late into the SH3 craze just getting it a couple months ago so that's the only one I play, not sure if my machine could handle SH4 anyway. The pacific theatre doesn't interest me all that much anyway.

I'm playing both, although I lean heavily to SH3 at the moment. This is my first GWX career (late to the party, I know) and it's just more fun than SH4 is right now. Not to mention it's fully functional and polished to a mirror finish, which is definately a plus.

I'm with you Hunter, until I up grade the ol' computer I'mn here. But have to say SH3 + GWX is the only way to go

Asking people to vote on their preference and putting the thread in the SH3 forum is a bit like asking people at a Republican rally 'How will you be voting?'

I play both, but personally prefer SH3, mainly because I prefer U-Boats, SH4 is buggy, but it potentially has a lot more going for it than SH3, so I'm playing an SH4 campaign at a slow rate and watching developments with interest.
