Default Back Into Action

Lately I don't know been a bit despondant and not very interested in Silent Hunter anymore, few things in life were bugging me and the truth is I just couldn't be stuffed to play Silent Hunter 3 - GWX anymore.

Long and the short of it is, I came here for a read, and looked at the case with the pic of the U-boat and the depthcharges going off, and that was it, I just had to return. So I am now officially back on patrol. I think the game is so extensive and layered with so much going on, yet there is a big degree of a repetition, eventually.... if you're like me... you get a bit bored and your interest drops off.

When that happened I figured I was pretty much done with SH3 and GWX for the forseeable... but no! My interest has come back in spades and I sat last night till 3am playing the game, I only got up about 35 minutes ago as of this posting! LOL Im hoping I'll be sinking something tonight because its cigar night and I really want to blast something out of the water but things are rather quiet on the western approaches at present.

Needless to say the best Female captain is back aboard!

It won't be the last time, you'll loose interest...and come back again for more.
I've had this since SH3 came out, playing on and off.
But the nice thing is, that everytime I returned, SH3 got some great improvements in the form of new (super-) mods, which were all the more reasons to reinstall, or start a new career.

The only other PC-game that kept me going for longer, was the WW2-flightsim Il2-Sturmovik (and all it's addons and expansions), which kept me busy for around 5 years.
Bought Oblivion last year...loved it, played it for a while, but I just can't force myself to return to it, allthough I'm not even halfway through.
Bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. a few weeks back, still playing very much at the early part of this creepy game...but the only game I touched this week, was SH3-GWX...allthough I will return to Stalker, when the 2nd patch finally gets released.

I really love SH3!

I got back from patrol, sank numerous floating bathtubs. LOL Small Freighters mainly.

But I had a total tonnage of 33,000 tons, since I consider for me 25,000 to be an average patrol, I consider me at above average there. I got back and am getting ready to go out again! I'm very excited to be back in GWX.
