Default Made it into Scapa Flow

Running patched vanilla..

Since it's still early in the war & I'm on my 2nd career (War ended first career after 23 patrols), I decide to pop into Scapa..

The approach was easy enough. Between Kiel (7th. Flotilla) and Scapa, my VIIB sank 2 C3's and a C2.. We also took down a tug & a fishing boat using the deck gun and flak. I really miss the 2 double flaks and 1 quad flak on my IXC. Anyone else notice that a C3 can often be sunk w/ 1 eel, but a C2 may need 3?? Anyway, tonnage numbers are looking good and I avoid the first of several destroyers coming out of Scapa. Long story short, had to sink the 3 J class and 2 V&W's I couldn't avoid or resist. Made it all the way into Scapa, past the two docked Flower Corvettes & rows of searchlights and the place was deserted Was hoping to find some juicy targets sitting there..

Scraped the hull up getting out of there and made it to my patrol grid.. Got medals & a promotion and am glad I got that urge out of my system..

Good Hunting!

Yeah congrates on breaking into Scapa, i go there whenever i want to, i own Scapa. But about the C3s and C2s, it depends on how the ships were constructed. , The more empty space a ship has the more water will flood it, C3s have alot of empty space, C2s r slightly smaller and more compact. if i remember Ship Construction 101 from college

Congretulations on coming in and out of Scapa!

I usually fire two torpedoes at C2'and C3's in stock game. Usually magnetics.
Then finish off with an impact torpedo if necessary.

Never even tried after I installed GWX. Frankly, I'm too scared to try...

Amen to that. Hearing all those warship contacts on the hydrophones gives me the shivers. Hell I just about got out of Lerwick with 11% integrity. Kinda cooled my desire to raid harbours for a while

Default Scapa flow

Just been in their i took the shortcut in through the shallow narrows then submerged just as i came into the big area of scapa flow crept over to where the intel for the Royal Oak was but she was not present was well dissapointed wanted to sink a biggie. Carried on in under periscope depth silent rigged. stopped short of a lovely big troop carrier fired two tin fish at it that exploded at a sub net forgot this may have had this around it still learing. Had on torp left used it on a moored destroyer that went down fast. I had to then leave in my IIB only had three tin fish.

Next time i will remeber anti tin fish nets around such juicy targets.
