If it'll run, ofcourse I will play it! Once you've seen something like The Guild series or the X-series (scifi), SH3 can be considered a perfect game out of the box. I never found any gamestopping bugs myself to be honest.

I think there are people that will wait until the first reviews are in.

I do not think people that buy it, will shelve it for, say, one year. No way, but ofcourse it sounds manly

And above all, le't's wait and see before we decide on forehand that SH4 is socalled massively bugged shall we?

Yes, the main bug on the out of the box SH3 (the spray bug) was actually caused by Nvidia changing their drivers, not by the devs.

I wait with the decision to purchase it, as I do with every other game. In the city I live one can borrow all new games for some days. Since two years I examine in this way every new game I interested in, whether if it fulfills my expectations. It does not have to be bug-free (which is nonsense for PC games), but it must in a certain way fulfill what I expects of it.

To the final purchase decision I still added how much respective the publisher was in the past with supporting his games (Patches, AddOn's). I am for a long time no more the the die-hard subsimmer, therefore must I not purchase each subsim game in order to be happy. Even if this attitude don't support the sim genre, I can live with that very gladly.

What kind of message would we be sending by not buying this game when it hit the selves?

Think about it.

Here is your reward for trying another hard core sub sim ... we're not gonna buy it until later?

I say that no way in hell does Ubisoft deserve our trust, faith or praise after the buggy and unfinished mess they released called SH3
I don't remember any more if you were already here when a few of us were spending hours and hours of our spare time trying to mod SH2 and make it more enjoyable. But having done that myself and gone through SH3 problems (SH3 was unistalled in my HDD for a long time) I have never regreted buying at full price SH1, SH2, SH3 and now SH4, and not waiting for them to hit the bargain bin. When you are buying a 1st person shooter you can claim, harrass and insult the company who doesn't do it well (Well OK insult not), as there are dozens of shooters around and it is always a profit market. But when a company dares venturing into the difficult world of pure sims, specially naval sims, it is risking a lot, even if they sell well. I have never regreted putting 50$ in all submarine sims that I have stumbled upon, even some that have been rarely installed more than two days. Ignorance? Nope. I agree completely with Torplexed, had many of us not bought full prize SH1-2-3, none of the "waituntilitsfixedandcheap" would have ever got a copy of SH2-3, because no SH2-3-4 would ever have been done.

Enjoy the wait. I'll send you a postcard from Midway (Bugs included)

If I remeber well, when SH3 was out Ubi$oft say : if SH3 sold well we will make a DC, I am still waiting, they trap me one time not two.
And I am not the only to do that

If this game doesn't sell very well then you can kiss sh5 or dc2 goodbye, so don't wait to long or the future maby slient for subsim fans.

Well if you and many others won't buy SH4 then there will be no DC2. PERIOD. If you buy SH4 there is a chance that they will develop DC2.
You have to see SH4 as an investment.
