Default Fraps

I am having trouble taking screenshots on the game, Print Screen dosent save a screenshot in a folder or anything. Thus, I was wondering about getting fraps. Can anyone give an idea about its capabilities, if it impedes gameplay, and its cost. I had a bit of trouble finding it on the website.

Thanks.

During a game click on F1 and you will get all the keys as to what they do.

Hello Kapitan Edvard,

you don't need Fraps to take screenshots, as the others already posted. But I can recommend it to make movies. While Fraps is idle (when you don't record) it does not impede gameplay. When you record it depends on the screen size you record with. I generally record with half screen size and get 30 fps without a problem with a computer wich is already 1,5 years old (exept in populated harbours). If you need an example of the results you get, take a look at one of my movies (see my footer). If I recall correctly I payed 30 € for Fraps. For me it was worth it.

Fraps takes better quality pics.

BTW, you can change what key you want for FRAPS, and male a folder just for fraps. I did that not to clutter Ubisoft folder, I have FRAPS Screenshots folder on desktop, and use the NumPad / key to take pics.

I use fsscreen and have a folder on the desktop titled fsscreen. All screen shots go into that folder. this program takes very little memory and works great!

To get it: Google fsscreen and download it in seconds. Make a folder and you are in business. to take a screen shot press Print Scr key
