Looks great! Not to whine (well, yes to whine) the thing I would like to see most is the Brunsbuttel docks moved to their proper place.

We went through this but I cant remember where it was supposed to be
It was on the river IIRC with locks at the canal entrance ?

It looks like a small rectangular harbor dock, just inside the canal on the north side, opposite from the patrol boat that's parked there in GW. I tried to find the thread with the photos, but I'm running out of time to look.

I still didn't find the pictures, but this shot is from Carotio's thread on his mod. His Brunsbuttel is actually the same as the original Canal Mod, and U-Boat War Aces also uses that one, so I don't know where this shot came from, but this is close to what the photo showed, maybe a little smaller:

Having never gone through the Kiel Canal, I thought I would be in a perfect position to test your statement Jmack, so for the first time ever I just left Kiel bound for the Canal.

I tested using GWX, which as we know has the bridge included.

Well, after manually plotting a course through the Canal, I simply set TC to 256 (at times 512), took to the Nav screen and cruised on through. I found that to sail through was prolly quicker than it took to plot the blasted route I was to follow!

I think this was an extreme test - I certainly wouldn't sail blindly through the Canal at high TC if I was being serious, but for someone who had never navigated the Canal before, I had no probs with it or TC.

In practice I'd prolly use the higher 256 and 512 TC on some parts, but a more cautious 8 or 16 on others.

First two times though I went at 64x without issues. Third time I rammed head first into the "invisible" lighthouse at the end. Knowing my luck, I'll end up ramming into the bridge.

Nah, the bridges won't cause problems. They're marked by dots in the centre of the Canal, so all you need to do is ensure that your waypoint slices through them. Then you won't hit any pylons. Easy!

You need to change the the LandProximity setting under TIME COMPRESSION in your My Documents\SH3... copy of main.cfg. By default it is 4. Change it to 512 (or whatever you feel comfortable with).
