ok a question for you or two

Number 1

What exactly is a replenishment ship ?

;Merchant ships
Type100=Replenishment
Type101=Tanker
Type102=Cargo
Type103=Troop Transport
Type104=Coastal Vessel
Type105=Environmental

If I can find out what it is and for ie; is it a fleet tender -oiler -? or a ammo barge ? ( but then surely they would be warships ) maybe can clone something ( depending on what type 100 is ) and have as something extra

Number 2

Is there a way of adding a ship such as a boom vessel in such a way that it doesnt spawn anywhere else
Basically I would like to add boom vessels next to the sub nets - more than likely stationary - but it will spawn in other areas..Could I make it a land unit and place in sea next to subnet just for visual effect ?? No good at 3d stuff so would probaby try to clone the small trawler and give a cammo paint job. Maybe remove the winch off the back and replace with the hook off the tug - unless any of you proper modders out there have a better ship - me,I couldnt mod cheese

Any ideas/thoughts

First of all, I cant answer your questions. Sorry.

About the 'boom' ships, do you mean barrage ships or ships that go boom?? In GW there is sunken ships placed to key approaches to enemy harbours. You can find some from the eastern approach to Scapa Flow (havent tried any other way to Scapa so I dont know if there´s more of them).

I think he's referring to net tenders- they open and close the net to allow for passage of vessels by use of a boom and winch.

Yep Boom defence vessels or Barrage / Gate vessels

A lot of trawlers were used as both the above anyway

Not come across them at Scapa yet there is one in Kiel canal too I think they were called blockships sunk on purpose mostly old RN ships too dated to be used - not sure what the Kiel one is tho lol

Default update

Well I emailed Ubisoft tech to ask them what a type 100 is and according to them it was a ship to resupply fleets at sea - which makes kinda sense tho I would have thought it wouldnt be classed as a merchant but there you go

Easy opportunity for someone to clone a couple of fast merchants and give a cammo skin to run with the fleet - taskforces and the like I presume or come up with some completely new ideas

There was talk here of using that category to represent naval auxiliaries, such as tenders, oilers, and depots.:hmm: I wouldn't rule out the possibility.
