If Portugal does its job for once, England could be facing most likely Hungary. or less likely Austria. if not Iceland steal 1 points from Austria which I think is very possible if you look at the way Austria have played so far.

After the German repaired their defence in the match against Poland, they used the match against Northern Ireland to fix their offense as well. With the result that they played the Irish into the ground. The Irish tried to fight back, but were pressed against the wall where they sunk unsung.

The only construction site that remains is conversion of chances. The Germans had 17 grade-1-goal opportunities of the absolute top category - but scored just one goal. The result should have been something in the range of 6:0.

Germany has arrived in the tournament. In this state one has to count with them.

Remarkable - no card shown. Very fair match.

Croatia beats Spain, which is absolutely a sensation.

It also means that Spain will face Italy next.

Which is a match the Germans will have a sharp eye on - because they will one round later meet the winner of that ^ match.

Finals are very early in this tournament...

Italy is an Angstgegner for German teams, having not defeated them at major events since long time. The numbers against Spain also are not in favour of Germany. But if they want to become European title holders, they must be able to beat everybody. So why not starting early this time?

If Portugal don't start to play football I see a surprise in that game.

I think Iceland will manage to play 0-0 or 1-1 the first 90 minutes and lose 2-1 in the extra time.

This is the knock-out stage now.
The surprises will be kept to a minimum from now on i think.

The bigger teams who are 'expected' to win, will win as one loss and it's over.

Possibly Croatia against Portugal, although Croatia winning wouldn't be a surprise.

Last time Germany played Slovakia, Germany was processed 1:3 (1:2). That was - three weeks ago, a test match in preparation for the tournament. Possible that Germany plays Slovakia through the wall this time, but once again does not score sufficiently - and Slovakia landing that one lucky punch.

All the other matches could very well be imagined as well to be won by the other team than Feuerfrei mentioned.

And sorry, England, but I am with Iceland in that match. The Icelanders have won me over in this tournament.

But no, we will not win against Croatia. The easiest group and we do not win any match, 3 draws and we pass in 3rd?

Iceland have certainly turned out to be the surprise package in the tournament and England will need to be at their best to overcome them.

One problem being Iceland are scoring goals and England aren't firing on all pistons up front.
