Here, I get your cold and you can get my...what ever I have! Deal?

I know that felling I hate colds, prefer to have the flu since that means 3 days in bed and you are good. After My first decent work, the flu was so good, since 3 days in bed mean to rest so good.!

Stay hydrated and keep warm always helps me getting over a cold.

Matty told Hatty about a thing she saw.
Had two big horns and a wooly jaw.
Wooly bully, wooly bully.

Well after 8 years as live aboards we just sold our cold remedy a few weeks ago. Sad to see the ol' girl go. She kept me physically fit buffing her bottom and keeping her main trimmed.

start drinkin' rum, lots of rum. You'll feel better in no time. Barcardi Clear and 7Up was a personal favorite remedy.

The worst part about having a cold is that while you feel like crud, you really can't garner a lot of sympathy from other people... because it is "just a cold".

I don't know if I have another cold or just the same one coming back, But I am sick of being sick.

Reminds me of an old Beverly Hillbillies episode. Banker Drysdale has a nasty cold, and the doctors all tell him the same thing: Lots of rest, lots of liquids and in three or four days his cold would be gone. Jed keeps telling him to try Granny's sure-fire cure. "It never fails!"

Finally Drysdale agrees to try the stuff. It smells and tastes so nasty he nearly chokes. Then he asks if it really works. Granny replies "Every time. All you need to do now is get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and in three or four days your cold will be gone - guaranteed!"

Hope your feeling better.

Yeah I seem to have acquired a second caliing after restoring the mahogany trim on the Catalina. The other marina owners, some of them live-aboards, want their's done too and are willin' to pay me in cash- $50 hr. which will avoid tedius fiduciary complications! It's tedious: requires disinfecting the wood and five coats of varnish, but I've got the best lookin' hand rails/hatch cover in the marina. I'm currently looking at a 41 foot Cheoy Lee ketch ($45K) up river at Sacramento. The elder owner has it behind his house; 55 hp Yanmar diesel, feathering prop, and auto-tiller; note the indispensable furling jib! My wife has threatened "I'll have to live on it"...I may take her up on the offerA view of the mancave; She can join me after the next 'quake! The preliminary boat-surveydetails BBY is about $2k

Beautiful! And indeed a sure cure against almost anything bad i'm sure

Furling tech is nice, as long as it does not get stuck in a strong wind, or before an upcoming storm. Better two guys/girls more to stow it all away in time .. but sure nice to have
