Beter later than never

Hello all !
I had many attempts to play Silent Hunter series ,but never made it until now . Every time I was overwelmed by the informations that I have found on the internet about the game . Even with all the tutorials and videos and all that stuff I could not become an ace of this games . Every time I quite before learning how to manual tdc ,for exemple. I can see it in the tutorials and looks easy when others are doing it ...but when I try ...things changes .
In january ,this year I discovered Silent Hunter Online and became a fan from the first day . Got real atached from this game an I have been playing it like every day . Spent some money into it ,just because I was thinking that I should help the devs to make the game better.
Finally , this days I found out that the SHO will no longer go further ,it will remain as it is ,and that made me real sad .
In the meantime I have downloaded and installed SH3 and SH5 on my computer and trying to decide now which one is better . I think I will go with the SH 5 because of the graphics .
I just hope that finally I will learn every secret of this game and when I will look back I will laugh of myself .
Im glad to see this comunity and hope that I will become a member of it .
As the title says ...better later than never !!

Thank you , guys for the greetings !
I am trying from yesterday to load the Sh 5 with the megamod pack made by Sjizzle. I have uninstalled the game that I had, erased all files from the computer and installed it again . After that I enabled the mods, all the three packs in order . When I enable the second pack ,it says to me that enabling this mod may have adverse effect on your game .The same when I enable the third pack . Is this normal ?
After that I enable SH5Schiffe.exe just as I see in the description of Sjizzle.
All good until here but from the next step I cannot pass . And I am trying for good hours . Let me tell you what is about . When I enter the game and start new campaign , as soon as it loads the new campaign ,the game crashes . I tryied to reinstall everything like three times and the same . If I don t enable the Mods , the game enters any campaign. It crashes only when I enable the mods and try to start new campaign . I have done the tutorials without the MODS and it worked great . I must also say that my computer specs are good and I have played SH5 some days ago with another mods that I have downloaded from the forum . But the thing is I wanted a pack because I didn t know what mods I should pick by myself .
I don t know how anybody could help me , but I am verry sad because now I should have lernead about manual TDC and not trying to install the game .

I am a kaleun only in Silent Hunter Online .... But in Silent Hunter 5 in the lowest rank and I m ashame of that !
