I loathe all and admire none because the majority of them start out as lawyers.

We all know that there is no such thing as an honest lawyer.

Well, Lincoln launched a war of aggression that killed 800,000 people, left millions scarred physically and emotionally for life, left millions in poverty , just an untold amount of human suffering all so the federal government could show it's power.Lincoln permitted his Generals to act like savages and he himself acted as a tyrant, suspending habeas corpus, jailing northerners who were critical of his abuses for the entire war.Many of the problems still plaguing the south goes back to the civil war and Lincoln's actions.I loathe him for this and especially how he gets praised as such great leader when the man is directly responsible for such horrible crimes against his fellow americans, he was not the great man he has been made out to be, I sadly once bought into this phony legacy, sadly. Ultimately, I am glad we are one nation, but this end did not justify his means, it was wrong and he should be remembered for what is was.

Well everyone hates lawyers until they really need one.I agree, some make my chosen profession look bad, but like cops, are a necessary evil in many cases.Do the job properly, a lawyer is a pretty noble position.Perhaps I am idealistic about it, but that is how I feel.Cops are same way, fairly noble job, if conducted properly.

Hardly an equal comparison.

A good cop/law enforcement has an altruistic mind set and places themselves in a situation where they have to deal with the lowest of society they help people who can not get help anywhere else, they have to see things that most people do not want to see and deal with all that is bad in society.All of this and they will never make much money even though they work twice as hard as and take many times more risk in performing their job than a lawyer does.
