As long as you don't phrase it "Can I bum a fag?" you should be alright.

Steed does San Fransisco.
Your boss Obama banned it on the grounds I'm a British swine not backing his campaign to start WW3 by bombing Syria.

I don't know about Britspeak, but 'Merkin "bum" is another word for "borrow".

Bum suck means sucking too hard on the cigarette and making the butt all wet. I think its one of those school kids sayings years ago.

I feel old.

I have it on good authority that Neal is already engaged with a Sub

I don't see a ring on Neal's finger? Maybe it's an open relationship?

He said "with a sub", not "to a sub". As long as that remains true I think he'll be okay.

Foreigners are welcome in most countries, as long as they don't gather in crowds and subcultures to change the countries way of living.
An American in Austria? No problem at all.
You bing your own money? Perfect.
You try to learn the language to show your sobriety and dedication for your new home? Welcome Mr. Neal Stevens from Texas.

Join some local clubs to get accepted and try to avoid any political discussion at first. When you are known to be a nice guy, feel free to engage.
No weapons allowed to be carried around, but you don't have to consider someone else to draw a weapon. Austria is a pretty secure palce.
If you want to use your handguns - join a shooting club.

You want to avoid winter? Not in Austrian mountains. At least 6 months of winter conditions, short spring, short summer, short breathtaking fall.

A loaf of bread (1000g) is -.79 € to 5.20 €. It depends on where and what quality you want to buy. In Germany and Austria you have a choice of at least 2500 different sorts of bread, but of course not all are offered in your next bakery or supermarket. You may choose from 25 to 50 different sorts of bread within reasonable distance to your home.
The bread is totally different to the soft US bread, because the wheat is different, resulting in a cross crust. You'll get soft bread too (white sandwich bread or hamburger buns), but you'll have to take what you get. Taxes are to support the community. Use the communal installations and you get your money back.
TV charges are to be paid, as it is considered a public task to inform the people (they expanded the charges on the internet access recently).

The Austrians are individuals as everywhere around the globe. You'll find genius and idiots, it depends much on yourself anyway.
Common predictions: conservative, still countryfied, traditional, slow, depressive (Vienna), often grumpy, very servile with tourists, complain over the weather, have delicious food and drink too much wine.

If you haven't done before - come over here on vacation and see yourself.
In a tourist region you will have no problems with English. They may have a problem with your English.

Lake Constance may be a nice place to live - insisting on living in Austria and having some nice climate.
It's just a hop into Switzerland and Germany - and Italy and even France isn't far away.
Or Tirol - north to Italy. Nice, mild and healthy climate too.

Next to the ACCUMULATOR! PS: have you tried microwave hot wet towels with a dab of Vicks around the nostrils for this sinus thing so you can make to the air races.

What about the Obama affordable healthcare act of 2010?

Have you thought your clever plan out to retire without health insurance?

My God man have you gone insane?

Are you describing Austria, or heaven?

I bet the beer is awesome too, damn I wish I could drink well I could, but I cannot. Meh...

Good food, and brew and close to Italy for even better food.

You describe a utopia, what is the catch? Jobs hard to find? bad rascism against Americans or bad accents? Gotta be something?

Maybe Neal can have a relationship with the other sub if the original one is there, maybe even take part in "exercises" together.

Maybe some kind of errr thing, where the 2 subs make out err, fight, and he can watch.

We are talking about boats right?
