Fair enough Francis. I just get a bit cynical when so called "news" outlets drop out of reporting and into opinion forming. This is probably one of the more harmless examples.

Well if im gonna get choked up over a photo. Then this should be included too to make it 41 most powerful photos

Overlord is known at the whole planet, but how many people would now Mount Suribachi? Maybe some would now the Names of the Major battles of the PTO, but i'm not even sure about that.
Same goes for the Korean war, ask some of your friends about battles like Triangle Hill, Bowling Alley, Heartbreak Ridge (be sure most will only know a Clint Eastwood movie) Operation Killer or Outpost Harry.
Most of them maybe know the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir... i'm sure you get the point.
