You're a bit behind the curve.

Maybe we can help.

Slowly sticking my head out of the trenches.

Next, is finding out how one can run the sim without a soup of mods.
Is there a proven supermod similar to GWX where one download will do it?

Note to Ubi:
Thank you, you got a customer back

hi Brag, welcome back
Nope, there's isn't a GWX-like supermod yet.
Our very talented modders are still in the middle of fixing and improving things, but there has been made great progress.

LukeFF started working on a SH5-RUB, but that thread hasn't seen any updates for months.
But check out this topic, you might recognize the guy who started it.
Some suggestions inthere could point you towards what is best for now.

My computer is six years old, so old the memory slot is AGP!

The only way you can help is to buy me a new one.

But don't worry. I'll have one someday.

AGP is your video-card slot....but that doesn't matter, I get the message

sry, just bought myself a new machine hahaha.
But getting a high-end PC isn't such a drain on your income as it used to be, years ago.
For the price of a top vid-card from 12 years back, you can buy a high-end system today.
Especially RAM and storage (HD) are very cheap.

Oh goody - one more person to add to my "hate" list.
Just kidding. I make that same joke every time someone talks about their new PC.

I know. Unfortunately my current situation allows me to save about $100 per month. After I get my first car in six years, the computer is next. Shouldn't take more than another six months or so.

Still mod soup then. It reallly is in the best interest of the game to have an all encompassing supermod that has all the fixes and enhancements working harmoniously with each other under one mod.

Though I don't normally speak for anyone but myself, however i think it's safe to say that SH5 RUB, as made my Luke and company (myself included in the "company"), will not be coming to fruition. Luke's moved on to other things, as have i. I don't think either one of us, nor others involved at the time, have any interest in it anymore.

I was starting to wonder: is it the memory slot of the computer, or of Steve?

Actually , SH5 seems to run pretty well . I think the GR2 files have something to do with it . If you just run say TDW UI mod and IRAI to start and turn shadows down . I reckon SH5 will run smoother than SH4 .
