Default Anyway to fix size of sun?

Is there anyway to make the sun larger in the 16km environments to make it look like the real sun instead of a very bright distant star? Also, would there be a fix for the moon as well?

No, sorry with the moon is not easy !

The Moon size is setting in file "scene.dat" and not via a .tga File as the sun ! So I don´t know about this and I can´t help you with the moon !

Best regards,
Magic

There is a hunter's moon mod, which makes the moon bigger, it may solve your problem?

I tried looking into the scene.dat but it was unreadable with anything I had to open it with. I then opened it with Skwas S3D but changing the sizes I found in the moon.tga or the 3d model did nothing. I then exported the moon.tga into GIMP and took the image and enlarged it which also did nothing. So I did a zealous autocrop of the image with GIMP and imported it back into the .dat using S3D. This effectively enlarged the moon but not to my satisfaction and using this method I have already hit the limit on enlarging the image. Also, this does not work at all with the sun. So unless I can find another program that can make the .dat readable this is the best I can do to the moon. I have a feeling this is why with so many experienced modders out there this problem hasn't been fixed before in 16km environments. I have a feeling I'm on the right track but lack the experience to make it work. Maybe somebody with actual graphics experience can find a solution? If they're interested.

It suddenly occurred to me to ask for a screenshot. You might just be missing the halo, which happens sometimes. The actual disc of the sun and the moon in real life can be covered by your little finger held at arm's length.

Try this mod.

No, the halo is there. I've used the sh5 water bigger sun mod and that does a pretty good job of making the sun look bigger. However, the disc of the moon is definitely smaller in a 16km environment vs. a 8km one. The process I used in post #9 is the best I could do for the moon.

Hmm. I use the 20km version of SH5 water, and never noticed the difference. That said, there are a lot of things I don't notice, so my opinion in this case isn't worth much. I'll await your results with interest.
