Default Im a newbie and would like input

Im a newbie in this forum and I have owned SH3 since the release date, and havent played it until i found tucked away in a box. and im loving it again. Ive also played and own SH4. Thats my favorite. Im not a big fan of SH5 im not a big fan of the it i dont why. I was wondering if the online game play here is very fun. And if many people play it. Im interested in everything to do with this game and all the mods. that make the game more realistic. and how to go about installing them.

Welcome Aboard 2006IX

Others can better help you with SH5 Questions.

With SH3 Use GWX or other Supermods that all change stock SH3 and fix alot of things into a whole new sim.
Hope that was of some help
All are great but each has a different approach gameplay wise.

SHCommander a standalone mod is a gotta have. Iirc it works with all Supermods but, is included in GWX3.0 install.

Hope that was of some help.

There are hundreds of mods available now, and to attempt to describe them all would be exceedingly difficult. It might be better if you asked about individual mods you think you might find interesting.

Also, almost every mod available for download has an explanation of what it does and (often) how it might conflict with another mod.

But to start yourself off easy, why not get to know plain vanilla SH3 first? Then maybe pull down SH3 Commander.... adds a lot of "management" ability for you.

Then a "supermod" like GWX or NYGM.... lots of added value there. Makes the game far more challenging and rewarding.

Once comfortable there, you can start dabbling in the specialist mods.

Take it at your comfort level.

They all enhance the game in one way or another to make it a more realistic/user-friendly experience. You could start by reading a few of the sticky threads to get a general idea of what some of the most popular ones do. Have fun and enjoy!
