I've googled a bit...it seems it's for real a Walter-Engined torpedo
The "Impulse" value it is the same as the other torpedo.It doesnt seem unbalanced.
I wonder why they dont make it useable

You can always replace one of the torpedos you do not use much in game (such as maybe the worthless T-2) with the same values as that "Walter Turbine" torpedo, and copy over any renown and availability data.

Change the T-3 to include the T-2 era. Or replace one of the FAT I or II torps pretty much worthless also.

Thus a simple way to have the infamous torpedo in game. Be sure to know if it was a 'bubble free' torp (needs an electric model to substitute for).

BTY: TimeTraveler's new tool is great! :P What a time saver for changing those myrad of values. And it is good for the 'hex disabled' modders out there.

UPDATE: That torp used the expermental Hydrogen Peroxide to use as an oxidizer for the fuel. it was tried on under water submarines to acheive much power underwater. I do not know if it produced water bubbles or not. If it did, then is was not much better in performance than the T-1 steam torpedo.

Wonderful tool timetraveller!

Always been a user of your other SH3 utils. Although I'm pecking through learning the basics of hex editing, your tool makes it that much easier to do changes.

Thank you!

I'm having a spot of trouble with the SH3 Inspector program. I've downloaded and installed MiniTweaker, Inspector and File Analyzer, and while MiniTweaker and File Analyzer run fine, when I try and run Inspector I get the error message: "Unable to read/find SH3 registry key".

Any idea what's up?

You had mentioned earlier that you can improve the tracer on the deck gun but i couldnt find the post. Can you remind me again how you actually do it.

Who are you asking? The last post was almost two years ago.

If you want to watch better the tracer shells, you can download my Gun FX Stage 4 mod... at my signature.

Pros... you will be able to aim so far. You can see the shells with full zoom up to 10km.

Issues... looks a little weird at day with binoculars (some uncompatibility with day fog) , but looks too nice at night.

If not you can easy manually edit as follow. (but Gun FX contains many more modifications)

Tracer Shells Manual Editing :

With this edit you will have a very more visible deck gun tracer shells effect.

1]
Open TimeTraveller’s Mini Tweaker program.

2]
Browse for twek files and open the following .txt files :

3]
@Shell_trace.txt

Select subfile “unnamed effect”

Edit :
FPS = 12
Size = 0,8
SpinAngleVariation = 30

4]
@Shell_trace_Fast.txt

Select subfile “unnamed effect”

Edit :
Size = 0,8

Be aware that the stock Tweak files will not work with GWX.

What files do you mean - the tweak files?
These files you have to download separately...:

MiniTweaker's Tweak Files
