I tryed and i would say that is not a solution yet that your repair officer send crew to repair when is injured... with MCCD you can give this order via dialog but is not working if the oficer is injured... by tdw interface i tryied and i remember was not working also... so are you sure that you really sendet your crew and they started the repairs when your cheef was injured?

Seems weird to me. If an officer is injured, the men can't do anything but pick their noses? They may not have all the expertise, but desperate men can and do try, and often succeed.

I would say that you are wright maybe but not 100% - i think an good compromise will be if the crew will need more time to repair the destroyed systems when injured - i look at the situation that when the engineer is injured this simulate that not only him is injured... you can not have only the available oficers injured on your uboat... so we came back at crew management wich is so and so in sh5

MCCD worked for me on stock game, never had any injuries on crew since I use tdw ui. Anyway, the crew is working, even if the engineer dude is dead but at slower rate.

The officer role is to boost the crew morale and supervise/coordonate the repairs. If he is drunk or injured, the crew will still do the job but a very slow rate. With MCCD you can still give out specific orders to the engineer, but the repair rate will be still slower. If something is broken 100%, pray or load and older save.

![]() see here: I oberserved that the sistems start to repair even you not give the repair order (probably at a slower rate as you said) but the flood i do not think it can be controled in this case regards Last edited by stoianm; 03-23-11 at 03:57 PM. |

That's strange it doesn't work with orders to the chief. It definitely works with the 2nd watch officer injured and sending crew to man the guns and with ordering battlestations/ silent running if the XO is injured.
I use both MCCD and TDW's UI and find that between them most orders are replicated somehwere (and expanded by the officer icons in the interface... eg ordering the deckgun to fire a particular range and what part of the ship to target etc.). |

I have had a chance to test this out recently with all the testing I have been doing on the Depth charge mod.
If your engineer is injured, you cannot issue repair orders. However, if you check the status screen/messages, you will see repairs are still being carried out, although presumably at a slower rate. Once your engineer is fit, which usually does not take more than 15-30 minutes, you can start issuing additional repair orders.

You could be on to something. I'm going to try raising Hitpoints and see if that makes a differnce. Maybe it will keep the CE from getting injured in the first place. I know that isn't realistic either but I prefer it to the lack of ability to repair the sub.
