So you're not against it then? Those would really help meet the deficit gap.

Wasn't one of the reasons the Soviet Union fell was because it choose to continue spending on more on military stuff when it really could not afford it?????
You know what we could do. We could stop building all of our military equipment and but the cheaper Russian stuff and re-fit it with our electronics. How many MiG-21s could we buy for the price of one Raptor?

On a serious note, it's funny when it comes to base closures. Closes all the bases, but not my base! There was a suggestion to get rid of the OR national air guard, all of the lefties here were freaking out: "How will we defend ourselves?" Noone gives a crap about or-gone except or-gone.

Almost all of it, actually. Sellers was given the basic structure and outcome of the scene, and carried on as he does
Lionel Mandrake's story about his false leg was totally ad-libbed too, apparently the cast and crew had trouble staying quiet during filming

It is called "Persona management", ManTech in the US is one of the big business in striking back in "free" forums. Niki should take money for it, though

There's a bit about that in the Special Features on the Blu-Ray disc I had, they said he was supposed to say something about having "a thing" with his leg (old war wound presumably) but it came out "the string in my leg" and he just rolled with it. Or maybe he intended to say "string" all along, who knows.

But that whole long thing of him on the phone with "Dmitri" is worth the price of admission.

You commie-pinko-lib sellout!

Why buy real MiGs when we can get home-grown movie-MiGs (F5s) cheaper?

It's the same here. "OUR base is the largest single employer in the state! Close someone else's major employer, but not mine!"

Ha, I forgot the Chinese weapons market has totally undercut the Russians. So Basically, we'll be getting chinese stuff with our tech in it.

I must say I disagree with the way budget cuts are presented in this video. I guess the real problem is that the red line in the video grows bigger every year, so even keeping the decifict constant is a challenge in the long run (requiring cuts on the blue side).

And yes the US uses allot of money on defence, especially R&D, if those scientists were used to create civilian products I believe the US would have a much healthier economy.

According to the Behind the Scenes story, most of what he did was improvised and yes the crew and cast were cracking up. Some of crack ups can be seen in the movie.

Trivia: 55% of the total budget for the movie went to pay Sellers' salary.

Worth every penny.

"Well I'm not calling just to say hello, Dmitri... no, of course, I like to say hello to you. Of course it's a friendly call. Look, if it wasn't friendly, you wouldn't be getting it..."

Peter Sellers was supposed to play a 4th part

What was the fourth part and why didn't he end up playing it?

In case anyone was wondering the number is between 50-100 depending on model.
