Naw Marines know to leave it on the tank because if they have to launch a counter attack with no warning they can grab a roll and go.

Substitute 'tank' for 'radiator' and you have my arrangements.

For an Army guy, you have a pretty good grasp of Marine psychology. I sleep with my boots on for the same reason.

Simple answer to the no toilet paper problem, just leave a copy of your favourite tabloid within easy reach. When there is toilet paper you can read and laugh at it, and when there isn't, it's a win-win scenario!
