Anyway, getting back to the topic

Marines Caught in Vicious Battle

Ain't this what the Marines are bestest at?

I have to give mega kudos to the camera operator. I think after about the second shot, I would have dropped and gotten it later.

I will defer to you on that. I was just going on the title.

Wasn't directed to you specifically, more to the OP. I'm not sure how familiar the OP is with the US military and their uniforms, my post is intended to provide enlightenment on the subject.

Thank God somebody said it. Marines don't mind being confused; it comes with the job, the haircut, and the mandatory 40-point IQ reduction, but they hate being confused with the Army.

I had a hard time seeing what was going on with the camera bouncing everywhere like that, but I'm proud of the way those men conducted themselves in the face of enemy fire, Marines or no. They were moving and communicating, and those are two of the most essential actions to take in a combat situation, particularly in an ambush.

It is just one of the many things Marines are bestest at

If you had been screwing around with a camera after the first shot and your MOS wasn't military journalism, I'd have screamed very unpleasant things at you. You have a sector of fire (however improvised) and at least three other people who are depending upon you to cover their backs and/or flanks. That's no time to be playing......uh.....somebody famous for pictures.
