![]() Anyway, there's nothing specified in the thread title so both kinds of drugs are on topic ![]()

multi-vitamins + minerals
vitamin c supplement cod liver oil/omega 3 stuff glucosamine & chondroitin the occasional paracetamol; when I have a cold, or a really bad headache that is just too much to tolerate. Tea several times a day. Alcohol, perhaps several times a week. Tobacco, several times a week (of all, this is the one I enjoy the most, but feel the worst about doing - damn anti-smoking propaganda). anything illicit? 99% of the things I indulged in as a youth... not for over a decade now. Don't really see the need for things as part of a good night out any more. I'm not sure if this is as a result of a change of lifestyle in general as you get older, or because I simply don't think my body would be able to cope with all of that for a second time around ![]() ![]() 'Suppose I should be glad I have no medical imperative that needs the proscribing of drugs. EDIT: whoever it was who mentioned Citalopram... I also would like to offer best wishes and good luck with that. ![]() For two reasons, I guess: For the reason it was given in the first place (that's always a hard place to start from) and for what it can do to people (side effects and dependency and withdrawal, none of which are pleasant to see in someone else, let alone experience for yourself... depends on the individual, but what I have experience of was not at all good).

Does that fish oil stuff really work? I've always wondered about this. I tried some a long time ago but it just left a fishy taste in my mouth and gave me the runs! |

seems that my joints don't crack and pop as much as they used to - especially in my hands (playing guitar sometimes made this a problem) and my knees. I damaged something in my right knee whilst doing lots of hiking and backpacking training about 18 months ago. The fish oil and the glucosamine & chondroitin are what I take for that, good for joint movement and cartilage wear. Much of the pain in my knee when out and about walking etc had subsided, in part due to a little bit of self imposed physio on the joint and due to the beneficial nature of the supplement on the working of the joint itself.

In our house, we don't count birthdays any more, we count med bottles in the night table.
![]() Just a public service announcement. How many people who take multiple drugs per day, have all their meds on a card in their wallet/purse? If you take a lot of meds, make a list and keep it with you. When you go to the ER, it sure saves time.

Well, I don't take any meds, but, I do toke every day tho. (since around 1993) And, I drink almost every night as well. I guess thats why I don't need meds. Yet.
