Default Disarming a merchant ship

Hello Kaleuns,

does anyone know if it is possible (and if yes: how) to set a merchant's ammo counter to zero in order to disarm that ship?

I know, that I could disarm him using the eqp-file, but I have a reason not to go this way.

Thanks,
h.sie

Hi h.sie,

You can set the ammo storage to ZERO. Have a look into the guns.sim. But consider that ALL ships using that type of gun will not have any ammo furthermore.

So I think the best way is: make a copy of – for example – the 3InchSingle, integrate this cloned gun into the guns.dat, guns.zon and guns.sim and set the ammo storage to ZERO for all 4 types of ammo. Give this clone a different name and place that name into the EQP files of those ships you want to “disarm”.

Greetings
