This screenshot could be used to "prove" the opposite, demonstrating less modding interest in SH5 than SH3.

Now before you and everyone else starts dismissing my screenshot, please consider whether the same dismissings could apply to tonschk's, and I think you'll find they will. Thus proving no more than both screenshots are useless as evidence of anything.

Just another excuse for tonschk to post a screenshot, which I'm sure will be reposted ad nauseam from now to eternity (there's a pun there for the observant).
I think the whole statement in the initial post was based on trolling and therefore dismissable as a valid argument , it was simply there to stir up trouble in this forum again, this was admitted to later on by the OP.

tonshck's HUGE PNG SCREENSHOT was just as daft evidence as the OP's initial statement, and some might say - just as valid

Nice pun BTW

So if SH5 were a TV show...which would it be? I came here anticipating all sorts of suggestions but was sorely disappointed.

Inconceivable!

i dont know about the game, but if the sh5 forum was a show it would be one of those "reality" shows, casted by self serving, self important drama queens i'd imagine. they'd all be from a previous show with a feeling of superiority and do nothing but bash the new show and reminisce about the old show.

I did find the rights management obtrusive though - I had to have the book in my hand in order to read it. What if all books were like that? I travel a lot and if all books were like that, I'd have a bag full of heavy books and no room for anything else!

I was also unable to read the book at night, unless I had a constant light source with me, as the book was not self illuminating. There was no warning about having to have a light source in order to read the book, but luckily I have a fairly reliable electricity supply where I live (some of my friends do not though) so this isn't a problem for me. It's a good job I don't go camping, as the cost of torch batteries in order to use this entertainment product would be very high. Once I tried reading the book on the train, but when it went through a tunnel, I lost the light and was unable to use the book for almost a whole minute until the train emerged from the other end.

I read in another post that they had illumintaed books made by monks in ye olden times, so if they could do that hundreds of years ago, why can't they now? Ye olden times monks knew how to treat their customers!

Oh I'm not so sure "all" are like that ...I'm aware of quite a few people who were heavily involved from the "previous show" who do not "bash the new show" but give much of their current spare time to work on and attempt to improve the playability of the "new show".

A quick look in the SH5 mods section should show you a distinct shortage of "self important drama queens", rather a wide and diverse section of the modding community here intent on doing their utmost for everyone here.

In fairness though, your initial statement "i dont know about the game" is probably more accurate or should I have said....much better than attaching a blanket label to large sections of this community.

If SHV was a tv show it would be like some hyped U.S Drama, with a star studed cast and cinematic special effects...
But with sloppy script writing and character development, it would get axed by the network after 1 season due to poor ratings, though a small hard core following would continue to produce fan made ephisodes and air them on youtube.

or something

of course there are many great folks here. the ones it applies to know who they are obviously. im afraid its time to move on now. as for not knowing about the game, i own it, play it, and mod it. that is far more than most of the whiners on here can say, but they know better right? way to spin it though.

It'd be cancelled in the first few episodes.
Then, as many shows have done, come back after alot of work
on the cast and such.
