White beer is a turbid, light-yellow type of beer, and ideal to enjoy on a hot day.
You shouldn't just pour it in your glass as that makes it too clear, which influences it's taste. Ideally, you should not be able to see more than let's say 1.5cm (half an inch) through it.
To get it turbid, first pour in about 3/4 of the bottle (preferrably without creating too much foam). Then shake the remaining quarter a bit, and pour it right in the middle of your glass to make it turbid and create the recommended 2 finger widths of foam
Er... my standard operating procedure for beer is to take the cap off the bottle and start drinking.

fie! how dare you!
Glasses are much better than bottles. If you want to just relax and drink a good beer, you really need a glass. And if you want to drink fast and get drunk, you need a glass too because you simply can't drink fast from a bottle.
...So I guess if you don't want to get drunk AND you don't want to enjoy the taste of your beer, a bottle would be okay

Seriously now, you shouldn't drink the better, more expensive beers from the bottle. If you really want to enjoy the taste you should take a glass (yes, you can taste the difference. Especially in the case of white beer)

Oh, that stuff is good! Way too expensive to drink regularly, but very, very good.

My beer of choice. Great with a meal.

I could not agree more. Beer from a glass is the way to go.

I don't drink, and I'm a vegetarian. Does that make me Hitler?

Personally, never. I never put anything in my beer
Besides, Hoegaarden has already got a slightly lemony taste, so I can't really see the added value.

But yeah, it's something done very often, and I know there are lots of people who like it a lot that way. Just a matter of taste I guess

That depends. Did you invade Poland?

Kudos to you though non-drinkers are rare in this world, and I've known too many alcoholics.

For me it's Woods 100 or Becks beer. or both.

(though to be honest I'm not fussy, cheap cider will do if that's all u got. )

ahem I generally drink around 5 days a week, usually 3-6 pilsner a day, Thursday night 20-30

now where do you guys think the border between being an alcoholic and not lays?
IMO, as long as you drink with friends, for the fun of it or to really enjoy your beer, and can stay without alcohol for a while, you aren't an alcoholic no matter how much or how often you drink.
If, however, you drink on your own, to drink away your problems, and you can't live without alcohol, you are. Even though you may drink much less then someone who isn't an alcoholic.

I only drink with friends, and can easily stay without alcohol for 1 or 2 weeks (yes I actually do that once in a while), so using my own definition that would render me not alcoholic

Ah, the good old student time
Something tells me that the moment I finish my study, all that partying and going out and drinking is gonna stop real soon
Luckily it's gonna take some years before it is that far
